Project Highlight: Exude – Design
Exude moved to a new location on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia with the assistance of Watchdog. The move was a result of Exude’s growth and desire for more open areas.
The previous space on Race Street consisted of three stories with many individual offices. In addition to growing out of the space, there were no areas conducive to collaboration.
Going from an enclosed maze-like space to an open concept enabled more communication and collaboration amongst team members.
It was Founder and CEO Marcos Lopez’s idea to have employees be able to walk by each other to discuss clients and ideas. It translated into less scheduled meetings and closed doors.
Whether it was a design decision, the color of a couch, the direction of a door swing or open ceiling acoustics, Watchdog worked with Exude through each detail.
“It’s a real working relationship and we are more of an extension of Exude than a third party,” said Watchdog’s Alex Lundstrum, Associate Project Manager.
Watchdog completed the move by the early October target date.
“We walked in the door and Marcos and I came to a complete stop. We were wowed by the view. Everyone in the entire company loves the view,” said Chrissy DiGiacoma, Accounting and Operations Manager at Exude.
Exude employees have enjoyed sunrises, sunsets and fireworks from their new view.
