October 13th marks the birthday of our client, Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House! To show our support, our team participated in Show Your Stripes Day, a day that marks the founding of the very first Ronald McDonald House, 43 years ago.
We feel very privileged to be part of this exciting and complex project for Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House. The project involves an 8 story out of the ground construction project located on a very tight urban site at 39th and Chestnut Street. The construction of the tower involves careful coordination of shared easements with neighboring buildings. The multi-phased project is in the early stages of pre-construction.
The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House supports families of critically ill children by providing a home for families while children are undergoing treatment. The Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House currently has 40 rooms and various amenities including family rooms, an onsite dining hall, playrooms, outdoor space, onsite parking and more. Not only does PRMH provide lodging for families, it provides a community of support and comfort.
The expansion will add almost 100 rooms to the current Ronald McDonald House, which will help PRMH better suit the demand. The current site includes “The Mansion” building and the attached US Healthcare center. Both of these buildings will remain intact and the tower will surround and attach to the existing structures. We are thrilled to be part of such an exciting, challenging and meaningful project.
