Watchdog was engaged by the Solebury School to oversee and execute the installation of a campus generator. The installed generator, 350kW, will provide power to nearly the entire campus.
The project required verification of the existing infrastructure, establishing a strategy and design for the installation approach, as well as location verification. Multiple levels of township approval were required for this work. Our team facilitated with all township officials and ensured that all paperwork was filed to receive timely permitting.
A considerable amount of site work was required before the generator could be installed. Our project management team facilitated the procurement of all contractors associated with the site work. This included the electrical contractor, life safety officers, and the site work contractor. The site was trenched to create access for underground conduit to be installed from one side of the campus to the other.
Our team coordinated this work in careful alignment with Campus Master Plan. The installation included wiring and automatic transfer switches, new transformers, and a new panel replacement.
