Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED, certification is a green building design and certification standard that measures building performance and certifies the sustainable aspects of the building. It is the most popular and widely recognized sustainability standard in the world. Projects pursuing LEED certification earn points across several areas that address sustainability issues. Based on the number of points achieved, a project receives one of four LEED rating levels: Certified, Silver, Gold or Platinum. LEED challenges the way we think about how buildings and communities are planned, constructed, maintained and operated. Learn more about the benefits of LEED Certification here.

FMC’s new 250,000 square foot global headquarters earned gold certification through its energy and water efficiency, superior indoor air quality and use of sustainable materials. The company worked closely with building owner and developer, Brandywine Realty Trust to earn the certification. The team at FMC sought to create an office that is inviting, collaborative, functional and energy efficient. They instilled these values in all project team members. Brandywine Realty Trust is pursuing LEED certification for the core and shell of FMC Tower at Cira Centre South.
