 Project Highlight: Campbell’s Family Center

Watchdog recently completed the new 17,000 sq. ft. Campbell’s Soup Family Center in Camden, New Jersey, which includes thirteen classrooms for newborns through Kindergarten-age children. The center is a beautiful, safe environment for learning and growth with an entire room dedicated to STEM education. The furniture and fixtures were selected by KSS Architects, child care service provider Bright Horizons, and Campbell’s Soup Company. The most exciting aspect is the 9,000 sq. ft. playground which has new equipment, shaded play areas, and three gardening troughs for children to grow plants and flowers.

Watchdog was able to complete the year-long construction schedule partly due to prefabricated wall systems. Prefab are factory built units delivered to the site and installed in an efficient sequence.

“Without our CEO, Denise Morrison’s, support this new Family Center would never have come to fruition,” commented Kerrin Steele, Campbell’s Soup Company, Director of Facilities and Campus Operations.

Morrison strongly believes in family-focused benefits for all of Campbell’s employees. The on-site child care improves and enhances life for the next generation of employees. The center is convenient for parents and offers peace of mind.

“We are extremely proud to offer this affordable facility to all of our employees,” said Steele.

Watchdog played a key role in overseeing the Campbell’s Family Center project. They ensured the project was executed in a safe and timely fashion.

“Our Watchdog project manager was an extension of the facility’s growth and was a tremendous asset from the beginning of the project to the finish,” said Steele.

Watchdog Project Manager Christine Krawiec says Campbell’s Soup has been a long-time client of Watchdog. They currently have three full-time project managers on-site to fully integrate into the facilities team at Campbell’s and assist with their longstanding campus renovations.
