Financial institutions maintain their clients’ best interests. When Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union hired Watchdog during the early stages of their project they were considering two options: renovating their existing building or relocating to a new site. In a bit of role reversal, we were tasked with considering Franklin Mint’s bottom line. Watchdog was hired to provide cost estimating services for multiple scenarios including renovation possibilities and new location sites.
The information Watchdog produced enabled Franklin Mint to make the best informed decision for their organization. Upon further review, Franklin Mint narrowed their choices to three options: 1) staying in place and renovating 50,000 square feet in two phases, 2) relocate to an alternate location, or 3) build a new headquarters.
Each scenario presented different challenges and opportunities. Watchdog’s cost estimating provided Franklin Mint in-depth information. Based on the analysis provided, Franklin Mint decided the most beneficial path was to build a new headquarters out of the ground. As a result of exceeding expectations during the cost-estimating phase, Watchdog was the clear choice to manage the build-out of their new headquarters.
