Hinshaw & Culbertson is a U.S. law firm headquartered in Chicago with approximately 425 attorneys located in 11 states and London. Founded in 1934, the firm has a national reputation for its insurance industry work, its representation of professionals and law firms, and its closely coordinated business advisory, transactional and litigation services.
Hinshaw engaged Watchdog to oversee the relocation and renovation of their 20,000 square foot office space in downtown Los Angeles. Our team is providing a full scope of project management services, including construction administration and on-site move management. Watchdog, engaged from project conception, also played a pivotal role in lease negotiation with Hinshaw’s brokerage team. Our team ensured Hinshaw & Culbertson’s interests were protected from the onset of the project regarding the construction and financial clauses of the lease.
Hinshaw had existing partnerships the firm wished to utilize within the Los Angeles market. Watchdog’s role was essential; to act as a local liaison to firm stakeholders, as well as managing a group of consultants between Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles. Our scope included the local facilitation and on-site coordination of architectural, engineering, information technology, audio-visual, low voltage, furniture and security teams.
Watchdog ensured that all communication flowed effectively between the client, various consultants, general contractor and property management. This was achieved by conducting multiple weekly meetings with the consultant teams, in addition to the construction meetings, to ensure the consistent alignment of all trades.
