Watchdog was first engaged by Montgomery County Community College to manage the renovation of an on-campus science center. The project required a complex design for both the wide-spread layout and the engineering systems. MCCC was looking for a project management team that had expertise in engineering best practices.
MCCC received a single point of contact with a strong background in mechanical engineering. This project manager led the project and coordinated all details between the college and the project consultants.
Because of the Watchdog team’s successful performance, they engaged Watchdog to manage additional projects on both the Central and West Campuses including the renovation of their theater space, the renovation of South Hall, as well as oversight on an energy savings project including multiple buildings.
In addition to project management, Watchdog worked closely with the school to establish approval procedures, regular reporting and risk management to ensure oversight by all required stakeholders was integrated into the project process to support the college’s fiduciary duties of the use of public money.
