Campus Master Plan Improvements

Watchdog was first engaged with The Shipley School to execute a variety of projects in preparation for the coming school year. Watchdog truly acted as Shipley’s internal staff and helped to bridge the gap where there was a lack of resources to invest in priority projects.

Our team made recommendations as to how to set-up their internal approval processes to keep the projects on task. Since 2017, Watchdog has managed multiple summer work projects, as well as an updated campus master plan following the completion of an updated strategic plan. Specific projects include science room renovations including new lab casework as well as flooring, lighting and audiovisual systems. Additionally, our team oversaw the renovation and conversion of their 6,000 SF library space to a new and flexible Student Lounge, including new HVAC, lighting, millwork, finishes and new furniture.

Watchdog also managed a multi-year deferred maintenance and renovation plan to their signature Middle School building, including a $1 million HVAC VRF system, the conversion of the music room to a makerspace, and cosmetic and system upgrades throughout. Building envelope upgrades including a new roof, window replacement and new entrances were also considered.
